1.Agrupamento de Escolas de Vila Real de Santo Antonio (AEVRSA) - PORTUGAL

AEVRSA is a school with more than 1000 students from pre-school until secondary school providing educational support to 30 small communities of varied background and offering vocational, professional and secondary courses. We offer courses for adults interested in finishing their education or improve/upgrade their skills. We've been working in a government project that aims to validate skills adults acquired throughout their lives and certify them with the correspondent level of education. We also have CQ (recognition of Adult’s learnings through life experience). We're multicultural school, with many students from different European countries (and out of Europe). We offer educational solutions for students that want to get a specialization in some professional fields. Unfortunately, as it happens worldwide, we face situations of educational failure and school dropping out, mainly due to the lack of interest and participation of parents and families in the educational life of their children; students lack of perspective on the future; their non existing interest in school and the lack of study organization. This project offers us a chance for our students to exchange knowledge and communicate with similar students who have a different reality and live in different cultures, which may motivate them and build up a new interest for school projects and for learning in general. Teachers feel motivated to work in a recently rebuilt building with wi-fi and IT equipped. We also have always made an effort to develop activities and projects to promote a well-established integration within the local community as well as on national and European level. We have a Portuguese language centre for foreign language communities that live in the region, which develops strategies to integrate people from different backgrounds and bring them together in a multicultural environment. Vila Real de Santo António has a relevant Spanish community who live and work, along with other immigrants from China, India,Bangladesh, Nepal, Brazil, Canada We participate on a pilot project "Initiation to Programming in the 1st Cycle of Basic Education", which aims to develop capacities of computational thinking, digital literacy and to promote transversal competences to the curriculum. The concepts are as follows: reinforcement and mastery of computing, but also key concepts in other domains of learning (reading, writing, mathematics, science, expressions, music, art, etc.). It is important to make learning increasingly meaningful and contextualized, challenging students to develop multidisciplinary skills, reinforcing a confidence in their abilities. The focus on programming is relevant, but more important is the process in ideas, creativity, collaboration and problem solving, assuming a motivational pedagogical perspective. We will offer courses to our partners and include our studens to feel motivated by working with students from different countries. https://www.aevrsa.com/

The reason we want to take part in this project is that the teachers are trying to implement new teaching methods and are trying to improve the quality of teaching and learning. We are currently working on one Erasmus + project and it helps us to become better teachers and colleagues. Additionally, our purpose is to involve our students and teachers in such multicultural strategic partnership to get more information about partners’ countries, cultures, lifestyles which will also led our students to be more tolerant and self confident. Teachers also can get Professional development with other partners’ educational and pedogogical experience The teachers that will be involved in the project are enthusiastic, hard- working and eager to learn new things and methods. All of them have some experience working on different types of school projects.Teachers of nearlly all subjects(maths, science, art, music, IT, English) will be responsible during project activities. Becuase this project not only involves ICT skills. As it includes such etwinning projects as story writing, sharing of paintings, and music videos that will be sung by students, other teachers will also actively take part in and contribute to project directly or indirectly.Every teacher at our school is eager to join this project. So if any of us can not contribute either because of leaving school or some health problems, there will be other teachers to carry out his/her part. As partners, we took a decision that there will be teams at schools responsible for different works such as budget team, dissemination team, teams responsible for preparations. Therefore, number of responsible teacher for any activity will not only be one teacher. There will be at least 3 teachers in each team. During activities the most active teachers will be IT teachers at our school. https://ooujoakimkrchovski.home.blog/

Šiauliai Medelynas progymnasium is in the suburbs of Šiauliai. It’s the 4th largest city in Lithuania, in the north of the country. It is a public school for children aged 6-15.We have 550 students and 59 teachers. We focus on foreign languages, so students can learn English, French, Russian and Germany. The preferred foreign language is English. There are children from different social backgrounds with special educational needs. To fully integrate them into the class, we pay attention to them and their special needs by cooperating with social service center, health centers, educational and psychological therapist. Students come from different families. Most of parents are affected by the economic situation in the country. They’re either unemployed or migrating to other countries to work which affects their children's school performance and motivation for learning. Participating in this project will be great opportunity for students to know other countries, cultures, traditions and customs. They could also improve their language and ICT skills with this project. They’re ready for new knowledge, new relationships and visits to the countries. We also aim to get students and teachers involve in such multilateral partnership to get more information about different countries, cultures and lifestyles as well as encourage students to be more tolerant and self-confident. Teachers also could benefit from the other partners' experience to improve their pedagogical methods. Our school also participates in the educational leadership program . In every year teachers active attend in various training courses. Our school participated in some Comenius and Erasmus+ projects,as well. The school staff are open to innovations, seeking to participate in different projects and encouraged to take part in workshops, in-service training events and to disseminate from these. They are involved in many projects and students are encouraged to participate in local, regional and national competitions. The teachers in the project team are experienced in cooperating with students, parents, the local community and international partners. Our school has new facilities equipped with ICT devices. The school is now ready to start a new Erasmus Project which we see as the potential for developing internationalism and a fantastic opportunity to make friends, work on collaborative projects and broaden our understanding of the world. We hope to build a successful link with our partners, so that both pupils and staff may share experiences via ICT tools or visits, exchange ideas, learn about life in another country, develop language skills and take part in curriculum linked projects. The headmaster is responsible for the whole project. She’ll arrange meetings, control budget, organize the activities, make formal writings and follow the project process. Most of the families in Mursall immigrated here from Greece after World War I with population Exchange. Before that, they had been living in the lands of Greece. Until three years ago Mursallı was a municipality. Then Mursallı had a town twinning from Greece. People from each town visited each other now and then. Most of the residents living here, especially the old people can speak Greek. 70% of students come from rural areas. Their families are mostly farmers and workers. Some immigrated from eastern region of Turkey. So they have difficulties getting adapted to this culture. These students are mostly unsuccessful students. Their families don’t give much importance to students’ education. They have no big dreams. They sometimes can not even attend school to earn living. They come from very different social conditions and backgrounds. Some of them are really disadvantaged either because of living in a rural area away from society, or having low-income, or seperated families and different culture.
